Sale Highlights
We are honored to present an extraordinary group of early ceramics from a private Canadian Collection. The collector who amassed the group of ceramics, met Feng Xianming on a trip to Asia, and they soon became close friends through their shared interests in Chinese works of art. Feng, considered as one of the most prominent scholars and connoisseurs in the field, started his research in the Palace Museum, Beijing, in the 1950s and was a crucial figure in the advancement of the study on Chinese ceramics. Throughout the years, Feng would often advise the collector, and this collection stands as a testament to the strong friendship that flourished through the shared appreciation of Chinese ceramics.
