Description
The Chronomètre Souverain was introduced in 2005 as the simplest model in the collection, celebrating precision chronometry with a design inspired by 18th-century horology. Featuring an 18k pink gold calibre, the movement design has a distinctive layout that hides the gear train on the dial side and places the power reserve indicator at 3 o'clock due to the dual barrels, which works in parallel to deliver a stable power reserve. One of F.P. Journe's most iconic pieces, the present example is cased in platinum.
Condition Report
Very GoodThe case is in excellent overall condition with only very minor signs of wear to the bands. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
