This jersey was worn by LeBron James on May 24, 2013, when the Indiana Pacers defeated the Miami Heat 97-93 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Florida. James finished with 36 points and 8 rebounds, shooting 14-of-20 from the field. The Heat went on to win the series in seven games en route to the 2013 NBA Championship.

Two nights earlier, James had delivered one of the most dramatic moments of the entire 2013 postseason. With the Heat trailing by one point with less than three seconds remaining in overtime of Game 1, he took the inbound pass, drove the length of the left side of the lane, and scored the game-winning layup as time expired to give Miami a 103-102 victory. The series had announced itself as something different — a genuine battle between the defending champions and the team most capable of stopping them.

The Pacers answered emphatically. Anchored by the imposing Roy Hibbert, they held the Heat to 93 points and evened the series at one game apiece. James was extraordinary in defeat, pouring in 36 points on 14-of-20 shooting, but David West knocked away two critical passes by James in the final minute to seal the Pacers' victory. It was the kind of game that reminded everyone the path to a second consecutive championship would not be easy.
