Framed under glass with the "Blue Marble" photograph, NASA Image ID AS17-148-22725. Presentation measures 15.25 x 22.25 inches.
APOLLO 17 BETA CLOTH EMBLEM FLOWN TO THE MOON, SIGNED BY THE LAST MAN TO WALK ON THE MOON
The iconic "Blue Marble" photograph of the Earth, taken on 7 December 1972 from CSM America. The image was captured by the crew whilst en route to the Moon, and at a distance of about 18,000 miles. Africa, Antarctica, and the Arabian Peninsula are visible in this image.
This beta cloth emblem was flown in the Command Module "America" on the final Apollo mission to the Moon.
