Compare an elmwood example featuring shorter legs resting on bead feet, illustrated in Nancy Berliner and Sarah Handler, Friends of the House: Furniture from China's Towns and Villages, Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, 1995, cat. no. 21. See also a low-back bed raised on similar legs, published in Gustav Ecke, Chinese Domestic Furniture, Hong Kong, 1979, p. 26, pl. 20. The latticework back and arms on the Ecke bed appear to be later additions, suggesting it may have originally been conceived as a daybed before being subsequently modified.

The prominent ball feet supporting the cabriole legs are a rare feature on beds of this type; however, an elaborately carved low-back bed sharing this distinctive characteristic is illustrated in Robert Hatfield Ellsworth et al., Chinese Furniture: One Hundred Examples from the Mimi and Raymond Hung Collection, New York, 1996, pp. 100-101, no. 30.

比較一榆木作例,腿足較短,底承圓珠,載於 Nancy Berliner 及 Sarah Handler,《Friends of the House: Furniture from China's Towns and Villages》,皮博迪埃塞克斯博物館,薩勒姆,1995年,編號21。另見一羅漢床例,腿足與本品相類,載於艾克,《中國花梨家具圖考》,香港,1979年,頁26,圖版20。該床之欞格圍子顯係後加,暗示其原或為涼榻,後經改裝而成。

三彎腿下承大圓球足之設計於此類床榻中頗為罕見;然可參考一雕飾繁複之羅漢床例,同具此特徵,載於安思遠等,《Chinese Furniture: One Hundred Examples from the Mimi and Raymond Hung Collection》,紐約,1996年,頁100-101,編號30。
