Linen backed, unframed: 33 1/4 x 23 5/8 in. (84.3 x 60 cm)
During and up to World War II, Belgian posters were printed in this larger format. Very few are known to have survived.
This drama was directed by George Fitzmaurice, and is broadly based on the life of Mata Hari, a Dutch exotic dancer and courtesan, who was executed for being a German spy during World War I. This was the most successful role for Greta Garbo, who plays the title role.
