This American legal drama film was directed by Sidney Lumet in his feature directorial debut. It was adapted by Reginald Rose from his 1954 teleplay. It stars an ensemble cast, featuring Henry Fonda (who also produced the film with Rose), Lee J. Cobb, Ed Begley, E. G. Marshall and Jack Warden. The film follows twelve jurors as they deliberate the fate of a young defendant, with one juror challenging the evidence and urging the others to question their assumptions.
