Description
each with square shouldered handles on turned socle and black marble base, with an impressed mark and the inscription: Presented by Pope Pius VII, to Admiral Viscount Exmouth; to commemorate his Victory over the City and Fortresses of Algiers, the destruction of their fleet, and the extinction of Christian slavery, for ever. 27th August 1816.
