Description

oval, formed of yellow gold with tapering ends terminating in cabochon sapphires, struck on the inside with partially rubbed maker's mark probably TR, 92 standard, in a fitted Wartski case


diameter 8.4 cm; 3 1/4 in.

There is a Fabergé watercolour design for a nearly identical bangle (see Sotheby's Geneva, May 27, 1993, lot 370, number 210). Two similar bangles, also by Fabergé, are illustrated in G. von Habsburg, Fabergé Hofjuwelier der Zaren (Munich, 1986), p. 139-40, no. 93, no.103.
