Description

Gryposaurus sp.

Late Cretaceous, Maastrichtian Stage (approx. 74 million years ago)

Judith River Formation, Choteau County, Montana, USA

Exhibition-ready mounted skeleton, measuring 8 feet, 10 1/2 inches in length, 36 inches in width, and 5 feet in height on base. 178 fossil elements, mounted on custom armature with additional cast elements. Judging from the relative small body size and degree of bone fusion, it can be determined that this skeleton belonged to a juvenile individual.

Professionally articulated in a life-like pose, walking bipedal with head turned looking left, and mounted with a steel armature on an ovoid base. The bones have been fitted with individual fasteners and holding clasps, which allow for easy disassembly.

Excavated over field seasons in 2014, 2015, and 2016 on private land, Judith River Formation, Choteau County, Montana, USA
