Late Cretaceous, Campanian Stage (approx. 83-72 million years ago)
Judith River Formation, Hill County, near the town of Havre, Montana, USA
The fossil remains of two neonate skeletons preserved in close association together with eggshell material. These fossils are maintained in a trimmed irregular shaped matrix block (30.5 "x 21.5" x 4") and mounted on a custom dark stained wood display box (35.5" x 26.5" x 7.5"[back] and 5.5" [front]). Sections of preserved crushed eggshell are overlapping one of the skeletons. The close position of the two skeletons with eggshells suggests that they once formed part of a nest. 265 pounds (120.2 kg).
