The reference 2441 by Patek Philippe was introduced in 1948 and remained in production until the late 1950s. Nicknamed the “Eiffel Tower,” it owes its name to the distinctive flared case design, inspired by the architectural base lines of the Eiffel Tower. The case was manufactured by Markowski, identifiable by the key hallmark with the number 8 inside the caseback.
Powering the watch is the celebrated calibre 9'''90, an emblematic tonneau-shaped movement that perfectly complements the curvature of the case, reflecting Patek Philippe’s attention to both form and function.
Beyond its technical merit, the reference 2441 stands out for its bold departure from traditional round case designs of the period, embodying a more expressive and architectural approach to wristwatch design. According to scholarship, only around 110 examples were cased in yellow gold, underscoring the rarity of the present model.
A striking and highly recognisable creation, the reference 2441 remains one of the most charismatic and collectible vintage Patek Philippe designs.
