Debuted in 2000, the reference 116520 marked a turning point for Rolex, introducing the first Rolex Cosmograph Daytona powered by a fully in house movement. Replacing the earlier Zenith based calibres, this new generation elevated the Daytona to new heights, quickly becoming one of the most sought after sports watches of its time.
The reference features a classic 40 mm Oyster case with a matching Oyster bracelet, complemented by a steel bezel engraved with a 400 kilometer tachymeter scale, embodying the model’s timeless and highly wearable design.
The present example is preserved in new old stock condition and is offered with its full set of accessories, representing a rare opportunity to acquire an early in house Daytona in exceptional state of preservation.
