Powering this grand complication is the calibre R 27 PS QR, a sophisticated movement comprising 515 individual components. The watch is housed in a classic Officer-style case, distinguished by its hinged caseback, applied Breguet numerals, and elegant Breguet hands. While deeply rooted in traditional Patek Philippe design codes, the reference brings a contemporary presence through its slightly enlarged 40.6 mm case diameter, offering a modern interpretation of a timeless aesthetic.

The Reference 5213 also exemplifies Patek Philippe's ability to reinterpret familiar complications through distinct stylistic expressions. Although often regarded as the successor to the tonneau-shaped Reference 5013, the watch adopts a round case that gives it an entirely different character.
