The lineSport Chronographe Rattrapante with yellow dial is a striking expression of contemporary haute horlogerie, combining technical sophistication with an unmistakably sporty character. Unveiled in 2018, it was created following a piece unique prototype variant created for the Only Watch 2017 charity auction. Yet underneath the bold yellow dial is the Chronographe Rattrapante, better known by some as a split-second, this complication is perhaps one of the most hallowed forms of mechanical complications within the spectrum of high horology. Deriving its name from the French word ‘rattaraper’, meaning “to catch up”, the two overlapping seconds hand measures the intermediate or the concurrent times. As such, with the complexity that it requires, it is considered by many to be a definitive benchmark of high-end mechanical watchmaking.
