The present reference is one of a limited series inspired by L'embouchure de la Veveyse (The Mouth of the Veveyse), a celebrated lakeside painting by Swiss artist François Bocion. Demonstrating Patek Philippe's mastery of enamels, the dial is executed in Grand Feu over a finely hand-engraved background. Between eight and ten shades of transparent, opalescent and opaque enamels were carefully applied to create the remarkable depth and atmosphere of the landscape. The watch is housed in an elegant white gold case fitted with a sapphire crystal display back concealed beneath a hinged officer-style cover. Engraved with “175 Anniversaire 1839-2014”, the dust cover commemorates the manufacture's 175th anniversary. Combining artistic craftsmanship, historical inspiration and fine watchmaking, the present watch represents a highly collectible example of Patek Philippe's celebrated enamel work.
