In January 1988, Maurizio Cattelan presented his first solo exhibition at the Galleria Neon in Bologna, Italy, featuring a series of nine floor lamps titled "Trifide", all different and unique.

Our model belongs to this rare set, conceived at a time when the artist was exploring functional forms with great freedom, at the boundary between art and everyday use.
