Dusautoy's workshop on the rue de Charonne is primarily known for producing this type of small, often round or oval, folding tables resting on curved legs. One of the best-known examples of this type of table is that of Queen Marie Antoinette, in the Temple Prison, from the Vincent collection, sold by Ader Picard Tajan, April 15, 1989, lot 155; other example are known, such as the one from the collections of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (inv. BK-16666); and the ones illustrated in F.J.B. Watson, The Wrightsman Collection, 1966, vol. 1, nos. 138 and 140.
