Jean-Pierre Louis, woodmaker, received master in 1787.

He was one of the principal suppliers to the Imperial Garde-Meuble and collaborated with Jacob-Desmalter on the furnishing of official residences. Several seats preserved at the Palace of Compiègne and the Château de Chantilly still bear his stamp.
