Description
Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1961
Talence (Pessac-Léognan), Grand Cru Classé
u. 1vts, 1hs, 1 bin-soiled label, 1 slightly bin-soiled label, 1 torn and nicked label, 1 Nicolas stamped label, 1 import strip label overlapping front label, scuffed, oxidized, and corroded capsules, 1 short capsule reveals vintage branded cork
This is a true cigar-box nose - the acme of this individual character of La Mission in particular, and Pessac-Léognan in general. Extraordinary rich, melting, mouth-enveloping, with cloves and all the damp undergrowth of a Domaine de la Romanée-Conti wine - plus Cohibas! A very great experience and a stupendous wine. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
