Péry et Fils, one of the most prominent French jewellery workshops, was established in Paris in 1877. Initially specializing in chain making in the late 19th century, the workshop experienced significant growth under the leadership of Albert and later Bernard Péry. Over the decades, it became a key supplier to some of the most prestigious jewellery houses, including Boucheron, Cartier, René Boivin and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Péry et Fils began working for Van Cleef & Arpels in 1925 and gradually devoted most of its production to the House. The workshop contributed to some of Van Cleef & Arpels' most iconic creations, notably the Passe-Partout jewels and the celebrated Zip necklace. Forced to close for six years during the Second World War, the workshop resumed its collaboration with Van Cleef & Arpels upon reopening.

This close partnership enabled the workshop to develop new manufacturing techniques while meeting the exacting standards of high jewellery production. There is no doubt that Péry et Fils' outstanding reputation was closely tied to its commitment to excellence in both craftsmanship and production, as well as to its long-standing collaboration with Van Cleef & Arpels, for whom it created some of the most remarkable jewellery pieces of the twentieth century.
