oval, the lid chased with the goddess Minerva assisted by three putti, within a lobed cartouche hung with ribbons and palms, on an engraved ground, the base with a chased military trophy within similar borders, the sides with floral bouquets and swags between classical urns, the rim spuriously engraved Ador a A St Petersburg, apparently unmarked apart from spurious French hibou control mark
