circular, all sides formed of aventurine glass panels, the lid further embellished with a ropetwist frame of seed pearls and gold, the sides and base decorated to match, the interior lined in foil, rubbed maker's mark, charge and discharge marks of Henri Clavel (1782-1789), traces of date letter,
