the second, rectangular, the lid and base decorated with octagonal engine-turned wavy and quatrefoil panels, within scrollwork and stylised tulip borders on a matted ground, the sides with chased and engraved strapwork, slender thumbpiece, maker’s mark, tete de medecin, 2 7/8in., 7.2cm. wide;
