A Jeweled Gold Nail File, Asprey & Co., London, 1956, and a Jeweled Gold Vanity Case

the first, of tapering pointed shape, the polished gold collar surmounted with a fleur-de-lys above a diamond and ruby-set pierced crown, in an engraved gold sleeve with star and twig decoration, the collar engraved: 'Designer G.A. Smith', fully hallmarked on sleeve and file, including standard mark for 9ct, in fitted red leather presentation case stamped for Asprey & Co Ltd, New Bond Street, London, 4 3/3 in., 11.1 cm high;

the second, of slightly later date, possibly American, rectangular, the lid applied with a chased young couple with a mandolin, the lady's skirt and head dress sprinkled with tiny rubies and sapphires, the gold ground engraved with trees and ruby-set flowers below stars sparkling with rose-cut diamonds, the interior fitted with a mirror and a lidded powder compartment, struck 14K only, 3 3/8. in., 8.5cm. wide.
