previously gilt or painted, with later red marble tops; the guilloche-carved frieze and sides hung with ribbon-tied laurel garlands, on two circular tapering fluted legs headed by rosette blocks and joined by a concave piastre-carved stretcher centering a classical vase draped with laurel garlands
