Description

TIMBERLAND, TIMBERLAND 6-INCH BOOT

Rubber, Leather, Cotton, Synthetic

2024

Lewis Hamilton is one of Formula 1's most decorated drivers, with seven World Driver’s Championships and over 100 wins. An ambassador to the sport, beyond the racing circuit, Hamilton extends his influence by breaking new ground in culture, seamlessly connecting the realms of creativity and leveraging his record-breaking global fanbase. Whether collaborating on a helmet design with Hajime Sorayama for the Suzuka Grand Prix or unveiling clothing collections for his +44 brand with Murakami, Hamilton actively democratizes art, ensuring its accessibility to a diverse audience.

In November 2024, Lewis Hamilton wore a custom pair of Timberland 6-inch boots at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The boots featured red Swarovski crystals spelling out “Las Vegas” in script, celebrating the occasion.

Timberland shared photos on Instagram of Hamilton wearing the boots, along with behind-the-scenes shots of the handmade production process. The caption read: “1-of-1 Timbs for a one-of-a-kind athlete. Custom made with @swarovski crystals for @lewishamilton.”

The item has been photomatched by Sotheby's Photomatching to the images of the production process of the boots.

The interior of the boots is stamped with: "GENUINE HAND-MADE PROTOTYPE MADE IN STRATHAM, NEW HAMPSHIRE," as well as the logo for The Shed, the custom section of the Timberland business that allows customers to customize Timberland products.

Hamilton took 2nd place at the Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2024, despite starting at position 10 on the grid at the start of the race.
