the top with canted corners, the upper drawer with a gilt-tooled leather-topped brushing slide and fitted with boxwood- and ebony-strung lidded compartments and a ratcheted mirror, the four graduated drawers with lacquered brass drop handles and escutcheons, the front edges with blind fretwork carving, on bracket feet
