The current lot is particularly striking. Thoroughly skeletonised, the movement, every bridge of which is intricately engraved, quite deservedly receives pride of place. Being on full view, if anything, bolsters the users relationship with the timepiece more so, it may be argued, than if the same piece were fitted with a traditional dial. What is more, for a watch that is virtually transparent, the addition of blackend steel hands makes for a surprising level of legibility.
Despite its similarities to reference 894, to the best of our knowledge, the present reference has never appeared in the market before and made in very small numbers the only other we have come across also lies in the present owners collection. Thus providing a fantastic opportunity to acquire a rare piece by world famous manufacturer Patek Philippe.
