In 2016, Audemars Piguet unveiled the Frosted Gold collection within its women’s Royal Oak line, available in 33 mm and 37 mm case sizes. This distinctive “frosted” finish resulted from a collaboration with fourth-generation Florentine jewelry designer Carolina Bucci. Florence is renowned for its centuries-old tradition of metalworking innovation, and this signature technique by Bucci involves hammering gold with a diamond-tipped tool to create delicate indentations across the surface. The result is a shimmering, frost-like effect—glittering, elegant, and uniquely captivating.
Building on this success, Audemars Piguet introduced the Ref. 15410 in 2017—a 41 mm white gold Royal Oak featuring the same frosted finish. To preserve the case’s precise contours, each component is meticulously hand-finished, ensuring that no two watches are identical. The Ref. 15410 was released as a limited edition of only 200 pieces, making it a rare and exclusive addition to any collection.
