Inspired by a 1930s design, the Vacheron Constantin Historiques Jalousie features a distinctive shutter mechanism that conceals the dial, operated by a sliding lever on the lower case. Similar in spirit to the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, this inventive detail recalls an earlier era of watchmaking ingenuity.
The present example, reference 91002, is housed in a rectangular gold case with a sapphire crystal, polished bezel, Maltese cross crown, and sliding cover. It is powered by the manually wound Vacheron Constantin calibre 1017.
