Rolex introduced the Yacht Master in 1992 under the reference 16628, which was made in yellow gold. The idea was to offer a luxurious alternative to the Submariner.
In 1999, they presented a new version, the Reference 16622, in Rolesium, the combination of platinum and stainless steel on the same watch. The Yacht Master is the only model of the entire Rolex catalogue with this combination. It was another way to distinguish the more standard steel version from the rest of the production.
This example is presented fully stickered with all its accompaniments, an enormously desirable perk for a watch this age.
