In 2012, filmmaker and explorer James Cameron made history with a record-breaking dive to the Mariana Trench, reaching a depth of 10,908 meters beneath the surface of the Pacific Ocean.
To commemorate this extraordinary achievement, Rolex released a special version of the Deepsea in 2014, featuring the distinctive “D-Blue” dial, as seen on the present example. The dial transitions from a rich midnight blue to deep black, symbolizing the descent from light into the darkness of the ocean’s twilight zone. In tribute to Cameron’s submersible, the word “DEEPSEA” is printed in a vibrant green, matching the color of the vessel used in the historic dive.
The present example is offered in never-worn condition and is accompanied by a full set. A technically impressive and visually striking timepiece, it stands ready to accompany those who venture into the deep, or simply appreciate the spirit of bold exploration.
