Unveiled at Baselworld 2010, the Rolex Submariner Date reference 116610LV, known as the "Hulk", marked a bold evolution in the Submariner lineage. That year, Rolex completely revamped the Submariner Date collection in stainless steel, aligning it with aesthetic updates previously introduced in the full gold and two-tone models. Most notably, the brand introduced the new “Super Case” with broader lugs, a maxi dial, and a Cerachrom ceramic bezel, signaling a shift away from the classical proportions that had defined the model for decades.

What truly set the Hulk apart was its vibrant and unconventional green-on-green color scheme, a striking green ceramic bezel paired with a sunburst green dial, often referred to as "green gold" by Rolex. While colorful dials were previously seen in two-tone models, this marked the first time such a vivid aesthetic was applied to an all-stainless-steel Submariner, surprising collectors and enthusiasts alike. Powered by the robust Calibre 3135, the watch offered a 48-hour power reserve and was equipped with Rolex’s Oyster bracelet featuring the innovative Easylink extension system, ensuring both comfort and adaptability.

Produced for just a decade, the Hulk was quietly discontinued in 2020, cementing its place as a modern icon within the Submariner family and one of the most distinctive Rolex sport watches of its generation.

The present example is offered in never-worn condition with a full set, presenting a great opportunity to acquire a pristine version of this now-discontinued classic, an essential piece for the discerning Rolex collector.
