Among Patek Philippe’s most celebrated creations, the World Time complication occupies a position of singular importance. Revered by collectors and international travelers alike, these timepieces embody elegance and sophistication. The present wall clock is a rare and exceptional extension of this lineage, closely modeled after the iconic Reference 5110 World Time wristwatch, introduced at the turn of the millennium.
Produced in limited numbers and distributed exclusively to Patek Philippe’s most prestigious retail partners, this clock was conceived as a promotional object in anticipation of the Reference 5110’s launch in 2000. Faithful to the wristwatch’s distinctive aesthetic, it features the familiar concentric ring dial layout, enabling the simultaneous reading of all global time zones at a single glance.
Executed in gilt brass and displaying exquisite attention to detail, the clock captures the essence of Patek Philippe’s world-time design language on an architectural scale. Seldom seen on the open market, such clocks were never offered for public sale, rendering surviving examples exceptionally scarce.
