Lot Details

Description

Of openwork geometric design set with brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds, connected by links set with baguette diamonds and onyx.

  •  Estimated total diamond weight 23.00 - 24.00 carats.
  • Clasp signed Boucheron.
  • Length approximately 170mm.

The scale of the baguette-cut diamonds in each openwork panel and interconnecting link signify the quality of the craftsmanship shown throughout this bracelet, expected in pieces created by, or for, the prominent French jewellery houses of the period.

The clasp bears a hand engraved signature ‘Boucheron’ - the unusual style of font is possibly indicative of London manufacture, the workshop perhaps creating the bracelet for Boucheron as stock for their London store. The crenelated design of the baguette-cut diamonds, and the series of tiny precision-cut buff-top sugarloaf onyx running either side of each interconnecting link, are suggestive of Boucheron’s design in the mid to late 1920s.
