Description

in the shape of two brightly-enamelled peaches, framed by a border of graduated split-pearls, further decorated with two translucent dark green enamel leaves over engine-turning, also edged with pearls, the hinge applied with a rose-cut diamond-set twig, the red enamel sides painted with peach blossom, the base finely-painted with a peacock butterfly, the body formed of graduated split-pearls and rose-cut diamonds, small garnet eyes, the feelers and wings also edged with pearls, resting on a large translucent dark green enamel leaf surrounded by opaque black enamel, apparently unmarked apart from later French hibou control marks,
