A gold-mounted hardstone snuff box, 19th century in English 1760s taste, and a small gold-mounted agate snuff box, English, circa 1760

the first, rectangular, the lid and two sides centred with oval cartouches of a classical figure, on a gold ground engraved with scales, within rocailles and chased flower garlands overlaid on pale grey hardstone with pale red and caramel-coloured inclusions, the sides further embellished with chased sunbursts, scrolling thumbpiece and half-urn feet, apparently unmarked,
