Description

of rococo form, with a shell and foliate scroll silhouette, surmounted by a figure group of Venus and Cupid, the moulded panels painted with scenes of Watteauesque figures in landscapes, the front panel reserved on a black and gilt flower ground, the shoulder with gilt trelliswork, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, with a later associated enamel dial and watch-style movement bearing an indistinct signature
