An almost identical pair of palm trees fitted as standing lamps was supplied by the Maison Jansen in c.1950 as part of Stéphane Boudin's designs for the Dining Room of Les Embruns, Margaret Thompson Biddles's residence in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France, illustrated in James Archer Abbott, Jansen (New York 2006), p.156.


Another pair of palm trees of this model was in the collection of Mica Ertegun, sold Christie's New York, 13 December 2024, lot 1017 [$252,000], and a further pair from the collection of Audrey Zauderer was sold Sotheby's New York, 21 April 2021, lot 477 [$478,800].
