Michigan, United States

Copper sculpture measures 22½ x 17 x ⅛ inches (57.2 x 43.2 x .3 cm), affixed with golden pins to solid backing in wood frame, measuring 28½ x 23½ x 1½ inches (72.4 x 59.7 x 3.8 cm). 20 pounds (9.07 kg) overall.

Copper "splash" sculptures are produced by pouring molten copper onto a work surface, allowing it to cool, and then applying a chemical oxidizer to develop the characteristic green patina. After the patina has formed, the artist will polish sections of the sculpture to reveal the natural color underneath.
