Description

with a circular top on a "jaune Nankin" background, with six porcelain plaques representing scenes of "the history of Love" from Evariste Fragonard (1783-1850), Le Triomphe de la rivalel'Infidélité, l'Abandonla Volupté éteint le flambeau de l'Amourla Raison conseille et l'Amour entraîne, and la Luttemarques en creux "E", "Ch" possibly for Chamoux and "B" for Charles-Nicolas Brachart and mark for 1817, the frieze adorned with palms and rosaces, on three griffons-shaped feet, on a portor marble and gilt-bronze base with acanthus leaves
