Established in 2001, Richard Mille entered the world of horology with a very different philosophy than traditional companies. Taking inspiration from the world of F1 motor racing, he created watches that were not only mechanically interesting but, most importantly, could be worn in a multitude of sports environments. Richard Mille introduced the RM 011 in partnership with acclaimed Brazilian Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa. Inspired by Massa's fearless and dynamic racing style, the RM 011 features a bold design infused with motorsport elements, engineered specifically for high performance on the track. As a longtime test driver for the brand, Massa played a key role in driving Richard Mille's groundbreaking innovations in watchmaking.
Since its debut in 2007, the RM 011 has been a cornerstone of the Richard Mille collection. It reached iconic status before being succeeded by the RM 11-03, which features the advanced RMAC3 caliber. The model also includes a 55-hour power reserve, automatic movement, flyback chronograph for quick stopwatch resets, and date and month displays. Built with a grade 5 titanium baseplate and bridges, the movement ensures exceptional durability, while the variable-geometry rotor maximizes winding efficiency. Housed in a carbon fiber case adorned with a camouflage pattern, this particular RM11-03 is part of Tom Brady's personal collection and is proudly offered by Sotheby's.
