FLOWN TO THE MOON ON APOLLO 13 - THE MECHANICAL PENCIL USED BY LUNAR MODULE PILOT FRED HAISE TO MAKE CRITICAL NOTATIONS IN THE APOLLO 13 FLIGHT PLAN AND OTHER MISSION DOCUMENTS
FLOWN aluminum mechanical pencil, part number SEB 12100081-301, 5⅛ inch long, with 1 x 1 inch swatch of velcro adhered to end. Mounted onto wood presentation plaque, together with:
1) FLOWN 4 x 2 inch section of Netting from the Apollo 13 Aquarius Cabin
2) FLOWN 4 x 4 inch Apollo 13 Beta Cloth Emblem
3) Engraved presentation letter from Apollo 13 Lunar Module Pilot Fred Haise to Dick Barton, a member of the Grumman team at Kennedy Space Center that launched the Apollo 13 Lunar Module Aquarius.
ACCOMPANIED BY: 8 x 10 inch NASA Kennedy Space Center certificate acknowledging that R[ichard] Barton was part of the team that launched LM Aquarius.
