A SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH of APOLLO 14 LUNAR MODULE PILOT EDGAR MITCHELL
The present photograph captures the third United States flag to be deployed on the moon by Apollo 14 Commander Alan Shepard and Lunar Module Pilot Ed Mitchell. The Apollo 14 Moonwalkers landed their Lunar Module Antares— named after one of the brightest stars in the night sky — in the Fra Mauro Highlands, as Mitchell references in his inscription.
