Nike SB x Parra Skateboard, 2009

Adding to the extensive collaborative history between Nike SB and Dutch artist Piet 'Parra' Janssen, this highly limited skateboard, never released to the public, bears Parra's signature designs. Delivering a a tongue-in-cheek message about the status of Nike SB relative to the larger Nike corporation, this skateboard is one of the more original pieces created by the brand. 

Featuring the inscription "OK GUYS, WE MADE 15 BILLION LAST YEAR, Y’ALL AT SB MADE 52 BUCKS SO FAR!", the board humorously critiques the comparatively smaller scale of Nike SB within the company. Like many of Nike SB's creations, especially those not intended for commercial release, this skateboard demonstrates a self-awareness characteristic of the brand. Extremely rare and never offered to the public, it is a prized possession found only in the collections of the most dedicated enthusiasts.
