元末至明初 剔紅蓮蓬紋盤
the interior intricately carved with a raised central medallion in the shape of a lotus pod containing twelve seeds, encircled by decorative borders adorned with radiating lines and a cash design, the cavetto with two overlapping layers of lotus petals, each layer comprising ten petals, the exterior similarly carved with twelve petals, the base incised with a Yang Mao zao mark, Japanese wood box

See a similar dish housed in the Tokyo National Museum, accession no. TH-390. Another with a later-inscribed Zhou Ming zao mark is in the collection of the Shanghai Museum, decorated with a geometric band around the lotus pod and with a classic scroll on the exterior instead. A third dish with a Zhang Cheng zao mark, from the Harry Garner Collection, now in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, accession no. FE.21-1974.
東京國立博物館藏一類例,館藏編號 TH-390。上海博物館亦藏一例,盤外飾卷雲紋,底帶後加《周明造》款。另見一例,底署《張成造》款,原為加納爵士收藏,現藏於倫敦維多利亞與艾爾伯特博物館,館藏編號 FE.21-1974。
