sturdily potted with a globular body gracefully rising from a tapered foot to a tall cylindrical neck and a flared mouth, the body decorated in relief with two majestic phoenixes, one soaring upward, the other swooping down, amongst swirling clouds and above a classic scroll, further adorned with raised ribs at both the neck and above the foot, Japanese wood box
