potted in the form of a lion standing on a lobed base and supporting a curved headrest, the fierce beast depicted with its head turned backwards, portrayed with large rounded eyes and bared teeth and detailed with incised manes, covered overall save for the base with a celadon-tinged transparent glaze, wood stand and Japanese wood box
