compound profile, with shaped and stepped nested mouldings around a central torus, on a rectilinear sanded plate; with floral ornament in the corners; centred spiral leaf-wound fasces within the back edge; the torus with engraved flowering vine springing from bottom centre to uppr corners; pierced scrolling foliate and rocaille fronton, trailing floral rinceaux along the upper part of the torus; acanthus leaf tip-&-bud at the sight edge
